Finland

This post is mostly for my foreigner friends, who wanted to see how my trip to Finland went. Post includes things that I miss from Finland and also what I did there. I spent one week in Finland (14th - 21st of October)

First thing is Fazer chocolate! They had already put out Christmas candies in the stores. (Of course, it's already October.. :D ) Santa Clause candies and so many different Christmas chocolates (bigger boxes than normally).

This is something that I haven't found sold like this from any other country than Finland. You can pick different kind of candies by the same price. And as you can see there is a lot of them!

My first breakfast and a meal back in Finland. Karelian pie (rye crust and rice porridge inside baked in the oven) on the top I have cheese and pickles. On the right picture is my meal; mashed potatoes, salmon and chantarelle sauce, SO GOOD!

I also went to see my friends horse Kopsu. He is already 22 years old, but still moves so fast that couldn't catch him on photo any better than this :D

Then we went to my friend's and made some warm bread in the oven. Rye bread, salami or tuna, tomato and cheese.

For the weekend we drove to Jyväskylä Rantasipi spa to spend my dad's 50th birthday with my family and my brother's girlfriend.

I also had a chance to do my sister's hair. How do you like it? :)

Sisters before dinner.

Saturday morning 8 am in Jyväskylä woods with our lovely dogs, who were with us in the hotel. It was cold... -10 degrees.

Three different kind of weather's from the same window. Last one is the from Friday evening, sunrise is from Saturday morning and rainy photo from the day we left.

We also went shopping a little bit. ;)

This was from our dad's 50th birthday dinner. I took beef tenderloin with red wine sauce and garlic cream potatoes. Dessert was strawberry vanilla panna cotta and a latte. So good!

Here is my breakfast from Sunday and Monday. Sunday from the hotel, Karelian pies, watermelon etc. and Monday was self made porridge with icy strawberries.

On Sunday evening we got my favorite girls Anniina and Eveliina for sleepover. <3

My last day in Finland I spent in Väre horse stables where my friend Juha was helping to train some race horses.

Here is my absolute favorite horse of that stable, Elis. He is a 3 year-old Finn horse and really talented.

We also saw some really young foals and one of them just got to Väre stable from France.

Here is some before and after work that Juha did with Rhonda. Before practice he put a bandage to protect horses legs and after training he measured horses pulse few times so he saw how the horse recovered from the training.

Rhonda is ready to go!
